Thread Rolling Machines
Tesker manufactures a full line of heavy duty cylindrical thread rolling machines. We offer more than a dozen different models of two and three-die machines, most which handle infeed and thrufeed rolling.
Our machines are user-friendly with most set-ups performed in less than ½ hour. Our machines can be used for both production and custom thread or form rolling.
We also offer a cost-effective rebuilding program for our machines and other cylindrical thread rollers.
Being able to do both infeed (plunge rolling) and thrufeed (continuous rolling) are standard features on most of our machines. Having both of these features makes for a more versatile machine which is able to do bolts and studs, etc., as well as long length threaded pieces.
The feature to tilt die spindles to the helix angle of thread lets our customers use lower cost, annular ring dies. This feature also allows use of speed-up dies or helical slow feed dies. Speed-up dies increase work feed rate while keeping RPM’s of the work piece constant. Helical slow feed dies decrease work feed rate, thereby allowing material to flow and form at a slower pace. This enables larger or tougher work to be rolled with less horsepower and pressure than needed for annular dies. This can sometimes dictate that a smaller size machine can be used.
The smallest thread currently rolled on our machines is a 282 threads-per-inch on a stainless steel wire of .009 inch diameter. Our largest models are rolling up to 24 inch diameter bars with 650,000 lbs. hydraulic rolling pressure. All machines come standard equipped with PLC controls. Set up instructions and maintenance schedules specific to each machine are included in the PLC program.
Vee, acme, stub acme, metric, worm, J forms, buttress, ball, multiple start, straight pipe or tapered pipe, knurls and many special forms can be produced on our equipment.
Items such as precision lead screws or ball screws, high helix mechanical actuators, or gearbox worms are standard jobs for our machines.
While the initial cost of thread rolling equipment may seem high in some instances, the ultimate cost is low due to machine longevity, long die life, absence of tool maintenance and the high production rates obtainable.
These are just some of the unique features and benefits found on Tesker machines. The reliability of our machines is proven by our customers’ satisfaction. Just ask!
